The Initial Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content on PS5 topics as a new development. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft remains determined to draw people in with quality releases on its premier subscription.

The Current Inclusions

A pair of titles you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they were due initially — transforming them into ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
